We offer training-based classes only. We do not provide behavioural modification services, veterinary care, or specialist behavioural advice. If your dog has complex behavioural issues, we may recommend referral to a certified animal behaviourist or veterinarian.
· Full payment by bank transfer is required to confirm a booking unless otherwise agreed.
· Golden Paws Dog Training cannot guarantee a place unless payment has been made in full before the class start date.
· Prices are subject to change. Existing bookings will not be affected by price changes.
· Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee or result in forfeiture of the session.
· No-shows are non-refundable.
· Refunds are granted only under exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of Golden Paws.
· Group class fees are non-refundable once the course begins, even if you miss a session.
· If we cancel a class due to weather, illness, or unforeseen events, we will reschedule or offer a refund.
· We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if necessary for the safety and wellbeing of people or animals involved.
· Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious conditions or parasites.
· Dogs showing signs of illness (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, or lethargy) must not attend class.
· Dogs showing signs of kennel cough (such as persistent, dry, hacking cough) must not attend classes and should remain at home for at least 14 days after symptoms have fully resolved.
· If your dog is unwell or recovering from surgery or injury, please notify us before attending.
· Bitches in season are not permitted to attend classes. We recommend waiting until the cycle has finished (usually 3-4 weeks) before returning.
· Missed sessions due to illness or seasons are not automatically refunded but may be rescheduled at our discretion, subject to availability.
Client Responsibilities
· Dogs must remain on a lead unless instructed otherwise by the trainer.
· Owners must supervise their dogs and maintain control at all times.
· The handler is responsible for cleaning up after their own dog.
· We are not responsible for supervising children during classes. Any children attending must remain under the close supervision of their parent or guardian at all times.
· The owner must notify us of any concerns or changes in the dog’s behaviour or health.
· Harsh handling, physical punishment, or use of aversive tools (e.g. prong collars, E-collars) is not permitted.
· Golden Paws will deliver training sessions using positive reinforcement methods that are based on current best practices.
· We will treat all dogs and owners with respect and patience.
· Monitor dog behaviour during sessions and take steps to maintain safety and welfare.
· Offer clear guidance, demonstrations, and support throughout the training process.
· Keep your personal details and any shared information confidential, in accordance with privacy laws.
· Provide notice of any changes to scheduled classes or services as soon as possible.
Please note: While we aim to support your progress, training outcomes can vary depending on consistency, environment, and practise at home. Success requires owner participation beyond classes.
· You are solely responsible for your dog’s actions at all times, even during training sessions.
· Golden Paws Dog Training is not liable for any injury or damage caused by your dog to persons, property, or other animals.
· Training involves physical activity for both dog and handler. Participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for personal injuries sustained during training.
· Client information is kept confidential and used only for internal purposes.
· Photos or videos may be taken for training and marketing purposes. Please inform us in writing if you do not consent to your dog being included.
· Abusive or aggressive behaviour toward trainers or other clients will not be tolerated.
· We do not accept dogs known to be aggressive towards people or other animals into group classes. If your dog displays unsafe behaviour, we may suggest alternative arrangements.
Golden Paws is not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, illness, or government restrictions.
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the latest version.
